Just took my second
MGMAT CAT today and also did the essays. Got a 700 (Q47 V39). I definitely felt the
MGMAT is much harder than the GMATPrep and a few of the quant questions were pretty brutal (even if I knew how to solve them, which I didn't, it seemed like they would have taken closer to 4-5 min to solve). The verbal was better although some of the CR are very iffy and closer in reasoning to the LSAT CR. Speaking of which I started going through the LSAT book and interestingly I am finding their logical reasoning questions to be generally easier than the GMAT ones. Has anyone else experienced this? It seems like for the similar GMAT type questions, the right answer tends to stand out quite obviously from the rest (and I say this regarding most "Dificulty 5" questions as well)
My question is, how have people performed in general on the real GMAT vs practice scores in the
MGMAT? Is there a correlation here? I remember reading somewhere that one can expect 20-30 points higher on the actual GMAT. If anyone has some good insight either from personal experience or that of others I would be interested in knowing.
I am preparing a retake from the 690 I got last week which I felt was below my abilities in Verbal (scored only a V36) but would not mind seeing about a point improvement in quant (from Q48) which I think is doable.
