Re: Influenced by Freud, surrealism was dedicated to the same [#permalink]
Tough choice between B abd C. I will select B.

Influenced by Freud, surrealism was dedicated to the same representation of expressions of imagination as (the one) revealing in dreams.

Here the comparison is between noun "representation of expressions of imagination" and the other representation that reveals in dreams.

Influenced by Freud, surrealism was dedicated to the same representation of expressions of imagination as (those revealed in) were revealing in dreams.

One past action (surrealism) is now dedicated to the same representation of expression of imagination of an action (dreams) before this past event,

(D) is the only choice that has this past perfect construct.
