If you are aiming for the top MBA program, make sure your V and Q score are well balanced. For example, if you break 700 score level by scoring high Q (i.e. - Q49, Q50 etc) while scoring V in mid to upper 30's, then your score is skewed. Your quant score is pulling your score to 700 level. This isn't well balanced. In many cases, you will hear about 700 GMAT scorers getting dinged or wait-listed while similar 700 GMAT scorers receive admits.

Scoring 700 or more is not enough. It helps if both your Q and V score range is close to one another.

Re: GMAT 2 weeks from today [#permalink]
I took the GMATPrep #2 for the second time and scored a 710: q49 v38. I did see several repeated questions so I'm a little worried that this score is not a true representation. Regardless, this is the second time I've hit this mark and will be pleased with this score in 5 days.

For verbal, I did excellent on RC, decent on SC, but poor on CR. The majority of my studying for verbal has been the Manhattan SC guide and OG11 practice questions. I never really read any strategy for CR problems, sorta just winged it. Any suggestions??

Thanks.
