GMATBLACKBELT,
Did you pass?

Ya I did. So stocked right now! I have to say that the GMAT helped me pass this test. Studying skills i learned from the GMAT such as persistance were key. Also I have to say that my increased math and logical reasoning skills I gained from my quest for the GMAT really helped me with the CFA as well.

I really have come to understand why schools place so much emphasis on the GMAT.

Thanks all, directly & indirectly you helped me with the GMAT and the CFA.

Bring it level 2!

Congrats Blackbelt.

I passed as well, pretty excited about it. Felt worse about it than the score shows - especially in ethics. Probably in the minority though - I won't be trying for Level II in June. Decided to study for the good ol' GMAT instead. Have you signed up for level II?

CFA Pass Rate Fell For First Exam, Institute Reports

A smaller percentage of candidates passed the first test of the Chartered Financial Analyst exam, a three-step process aimed at gaining a hiring edge as job losses accelerate in the financial-services industry.

Thirty-five percent passed the initial test, down from 39 percent last year, the CFA Institute said in a statement today. Almost 50,000 people worldwide took the first stage in December, a 25 percent increase from a year earlier, the Charlottesville, Virginia-based institute said.

CFA exams are not very easy

A mere 35% of candidates who took the exam last December passed it, down from 39% in 2007.
