Ok, so I took the free
MGMAT CAT#1 exam before I ever cracked open a prep book and received a score of 610 40Q 32-34V (not exactly sure what the verbal score was). To confirm my score I took another practice test from Princeton Review shortly after I started my prep and received a 590 with a comparable breakdown. Since then I have studied for 3 months about 12-15 hours per week, going through 7
MGMAT books and the Powerscore CR book and completing all the corresponding
OG questions. I timed myself on every question and reviewed the explanations of the ones I got wrong. My verbal hit rate was around 85%, Quant around 70% (75% PS, and 65%DS). I just took the
MGMAT CAT#2 yesterday and scored a 570 30Q 38V. I got only around 45% of my PS questions right and only about 50% of my DS questions right. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in my quant (verbal I’m pretty happy with but still need improvement), I was expecting a score of around 650. I am planning on studying for another month, but was going to focus on redoing my
OG errors and weak areas and doing practice tests to get my timing down. Has anyone had this experience????
I’m shooting for a 680-700, but I do not plan on going to b-school for a few years. I just wanted to get the GMAT out of the way now while I had the time, and I was planning on applying to a masters program in Construction Management which is due the 15th of March. I’m confused as to what I should do in this next month. Should I go back and review concepts? Should I take another test and see how I do? I’m so confused and feeling very overwhelmed. Please any suggestions or support would help.
