If I got an MBA and then ended up at Teach for America, something went horribly wrong.

Haha, hilarious point. Although those individuals might want to work for the central development hub of TFA and/or lobby/promote the organization.

It was interesting, actually... while I was interviewing at one of the schools to which I applied, I met a guy that did on-campus recruiting for TFA and was going to get his MBA to return to the organization to continue to improve it. His take on the organization's mission was very different from my perception and the perception of most people I knew (and the other prospectives that joined in the convo). He saw it as more of an awareness-raising/leadership-building organization with any benefit to the children actually being taught as an incidental side-effect. The primary change vector to the nation's school system, in the organization's opinion (as articulated by this guy), would be the men and women who participate -- but mainly after they get frustrated, leave and move on to different careers in the business and political world. The organization believes their time at TFA will compel them to effect real change to the school system later on in their lives.

Nice to see my internship employer near the top of the list. Of course, the top of the list looks a lot like the top hiring companies from Kellogg so not too much of a surprise.

bb - Google doesn't hire the same numbers of MBAs that places like M/B/B or the banks do, but they do some pretty significant MBA recruiting for product management and finance roles.

Thanks!
Good to know; perhaps I should clean the dust off my diploma.

I also had a good laugh about a good share of Las Vegas Casinos :)

I find it hillarious that Apple is so high up on the list. Not a single person I know who interned there is going back. I guess somethings are better on paper than in reality. A lot of these are also the biggest hirers of MBA's so I think its a chicken vs egg arguement. There is also a different in popular to work for and best to work for...something to consider, since we all know just because something is popular doesn't make it the right fit for everyone.
