iPhone 3GS. What do you think?

Hi All!

What do you think about new iPhone 3GS? Do you see any essential improvement?
How does oilresistant cover work? I hate fingerprints on my iPhone 3G....

Based on rigorous testing by terp26 and myself, I can say that the 3GS is significantly faster than the 3G. And the battery meter shows you a % remaining in addition to the battery graphic.

walker I know that you own a 3G, and in my view that should be good enough. Don't trade that for a 3Gs and end up wasting a lot of money. My guess is that Apple is going to come with with a 4th generation in ~1-2 years, so WAIT!

Personally, it still fails to meet my requirements in multimedia capture. The camera is just not good enough for me. Everything else looks ok though, but the showstopper has alaways been multimedia capture. They've managed the video (haven't checked the quality, but VGA @ 30FPS is fine), but for still photos, that camera module is very poor compared to the competition.

Everything else is fine, and if the camera module is improved, than I would take it into consideration. As such, my current phone (now over 2 years old) can do what the iPhone does anyway (albeit in a less UI friendly way... but I'm used to the UI)

Now retails at Walmart for $97 - apparently Apple's coming out with a new one soon!
