Thanks in advance.

You'll be able to see your scores immediately after the exam. The official score card would be available to you in around 5-10 days.

As per the GMAC site, the official scores are sent to b-schools within 20 days. Check the below link:

Glad to see the energy here for ISB! I am planning on Round1.
Btw just that you folks know, looks like R1 deadline has been preponed to August 30th this year. (Can't post URLs yet - but do check out the ISB admission director's blog)

@bigoyal: Yes - thats the one i was talking about. Does this mean that interview calls and subsequent decisions will be made two weeks earlier? Also, can you open a new thread for ISB class 2012 folks for facilitate more targeted discussions?

Hi..

I am planning to apply for IIMA PGPX but have not yet fixed my GMAT date...
So need help with regard to fixing up the date...

Q : what could be my last date on which i can fix my gmat keeping in mind the last date of IIMA application i.e. August 10 ,2010 and the time it takes to have your Official Score card....??

Is the official score card also required in Application or is just the Score at the time of application..??

How much time do i need for the Application form ..??

Plzz help... Thanks

I'll say at max you should schedule your gmat by 1st or 2nd of Aug. It will take around 1 week for gmac to send the official score to you and to the b-school your are applying in.

At the time of filling the application you need gmat score + gmat essay scores. The essay score would be available only once you receive your official score. Its just the score which you need to enter in the application (as its an online application). You do not need to wait for receiving the hard copy of the scores.

Thanks for explaining very nicely..

1. Around how much time is reqd to prepare IIMA PGPX application..?? Is it possible after 1st or 2nd of Aug ( say i schedule my exam on these dates ??
2. Is it possible that the essay scores don't reach in time if i appear in GMAT on 1st or 2nd ?? as i need the essay scores as well while submitting my application ..

Thanks once again..

1. In IIMA PGPX application you don't need to write essays initially. Once your application is reviewed and accepted, then only you need to start writing the essays. In around 10-15 days you can comfortably complete your application (I'm assuming no essays are there. I would recommend to check the format in case they have changed it)
2. I got my GMAT official score in around 4 days. To be on safe side, you can keep 10-12 days. This will also give you sufficient time to fill the application.
