Re: 750. Retake for a young applicant? [#permalink]

I had the same level of WE when applying and a 760 and it was still hit or miss. At this point, you've registered a top quartile (at least, probably higher) score for all the top programs. Just have a broad list of target schools, fine-tune your essays and really prepare for your interviews and you'll be fine.

Thanks for all the responses :)

Coakleym - Do you think a higher score would bring much value to me? Or I should focus on the essays and interviews?

Also, what about scholarship? Does scholarship application require a higher score?

Thanks.

I don't think it will bring much value, no. It might be a consideration for scholarship awards but I think a good number of the scholarship awards are holistic in nature. I think they weigh your essays along with your hard stats in many award cases.

I think many people would faint (of happiness) if they got a 750!

You will have to answer the Adcoms about your retake. They will suspect why you have repeated your Gmat after scoring 750 ,probably you are not good MBA candidate and relying solely on Gmat score.

So better prove them you are not only good in Quant and English but also good at your essays and application.

Thanks for all the constructive responses.

Agree that GMAT is only one tiny piece of a puzzle. Should better spend the energy on other tasks.

Have a good day.
