Hello,
Any insight would be much appreciated. Looking to dig in to app process soon.
White male 26 years old.
GMAT: 680
V: 39
Q: 44
AWA: 5.0
Undergrad Degree from a large state school. Not a great or terrible school. GPA 3.72-4.0, graduated summa cum laude, numerous awards.
EC: Some EC's in college and some now. Nothing spectacular but have shown community involvement.
Work Exp: 4 plus years working on large structured finance transactions for a large commercial Bank. Including real estate. No one reports to me but I definitely have advanced in the firm multiple times at a young age and currently serve in a team lead role. Youngest person in current role.
LOC: Can get a great one from boss. Thinking of either getting one from former co-worker or someone in the group that is graduating from Chicago Booth PT.
Post-MBA- Private Equity and/or real estate.
Target: Chicago Booth Part Time. Definitely my dream school and may only apply here at first. Love the networking opps, love the challenge, and love the teaching method. If not appected to Chicago Booth I will be looking at either DePaul, Loyola PT or retaking the GMAT again, ugh.
Essays/Interview: Will have no problem writing and having a great interview.
My outlook: I think I am very competitive for Chicago PT. Would love to have that 700 GMAT score but the PT program at Booth average GMAT is 683. My work experience and GPA are strong, GMAT average, EC average to below. Interviews and essays should be strong.
Thanks!
I agree with your analysis. You have a competitive profile for Chicago's PT program and it support your goals.
Best,
Linda
