Admitted to Texas (McCombs) Class of 2013 Thread!

Yeah I was admitted last week so still waiting for my flash drive. Did you get info on the official admit student website or anything?

The admit student website is really helpful too and that's where you register for preview weekend etc. As soon as you get the email saying your status has changed, you'll have access. It took mine a little longer than they said for me to receive it.

The official admit site is probably most immediately helpful, but the flash drive has things like course descriptions, detailed stuff about housing etc... good longer term stuff esp if you're pretty set on going to UT.

Yeah, the lady called me on Tuesday and said she'd send the email shortly, but by Friday I hadn't received anything, so I was stressing. Called admissions and they said the admit packet should get there anywhere from 1-2 weeks from the day they call you...so still waiting on that.

When will the scholarships be announced? March 15 is the deadline for accepting or declining the UT offer.

March 15 is my deadline too... when they called to tell me I was admitted, they told me I'd have scholarship info in 3-4 weeks. This was almost 3 weeks ago though, so I don't know if it will be faster for those of you admitted more recently.

UT adcom seems to be working out of a starbucks, these guys are taking so much time for everything....

I finally got the admissions email with the link to the admit site and stuff, but I can't access it till they update my status which they said may take a few days...

I accepted the offer last week and paid the deposit on Friday.

Congratulations! was Texas your first choice? any other admits? I am waiting to hear from Kellogg.

I am still waiting to hear back from Tepper but would likely be headed to Texas. Any admits from India here??

Has anyone seen the agenda for preview weekend? I thought I've seen it before somewhere (either on the website or with the flash drive materials), but I can't remember if I made it up or not. Congrats to everyone admitted!

I m from Delhi. I got dinged from ISB (my first choice). Now in a dilemma whether to take up the McCombs offer or not. Without a scholarship it will cost a whopping $120k!!. Any suggestions people? Does McCombs defer admission?

Is anyone else having problems with the 2013 admit website? The only tab that's working for me now is the discussions board.

Congrats to all of you on the McCombs admit. I used to post here a fair amount when I was going through the process but it has been a while. I encourage each of you to consider what is best for you but would really endorse McCombs. I am in the midst of my first year and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. Feel free to send me a message if you have questions regarding recruiting (still ongoing but IB has wrapped up and the class of 2012 did quite well), classes, Austin, or anything regarding McCombs. Can't help with web site issues or the like but am happy to share anything regarding the experience. I don't check this board often so send me a message and it will alert me via email. Good luck to each of you with the decision making process.
