Another Near Elite school to consider is Georgetown University in Washington DC. Like Washington University, Georgetown University is one of the most selective undergraduate universities in the United States.
The Washington DC economic area is the 5th largest economic area in the United States.
There are roughly 250 entrants each year, making this one of the largest Near Elite programs.
Academic Calendar: Semester (divided into miniterms called "modules")
Required Courses include Fin Acctg I and II, Mgmt Acctg, Quant Methods I and II, Finance I and II, Org Behavior, Marketing I and II, Intl Business, Business Ethics, Business and Govt
There are two electives in the first year. Most of the second year is elective.
Georgetown is well known for its strengths in international business and (not surprisingly) government affairs.
The center of the distribution tends to be near 660 and 3.3.
The acceptance rate and yield are both relatively low for the Near Elite.
