Hello brandy96, thanks for your question.

In terms of your GMAT question, it is my understanding that the GMAT does not weigh as heavily for executive MBA programs. They would put more weight on the experience you bring to bear.

Regarding strategy consulting, I don’t think an executive MBA is the best route to pull off a career change. You would probably be better off basing your “story” on progressing in your current company/industry.

In terms of fit, it is predicated on far more than just GMAT scores. Research programs that have strength in your area of interest. And, since you asked about maximizing your application: the more you can demonstrate a clear and direct link between your career needs and school resources (e.g., professors, classes, clubs, events, etc.), the more compelling a case you will make to an admissions committee.
