Okay got it.

So let's get started. First of all, I think that if you want that position/salary job you are looking for at your age, then a regular MBA is more what you are looking for. An EMBA is usually designed for people who will continue to work while doing their MBA, and is for older candidates, often sponsored by their firms, or people with a lot more experience. And you seem like you fit preeeeetty well into a regular MBA.

I can understand your hesitations about being out of the work force for a long time, and you may want to look at one-year MBA programs in the US and Europe, which might fit you well.

To get to your questions:

1) This is the first I've heard of it (not a good sign)
2) Sure.
3) Lots. There's no clear answer here. You have to look in a specific industry in a specific school to get a reasonable answer.
4) Tons of folks from international MBAs come from and go to IT jobs. So you are good here.
