Hi,
If you could please evaluate my profile, I would appreciate it.
Age: 28 - Indian Female
I just took my GMAT and scored 680 (90%)
V-35 (77%) and Q-48(86%)
I have a B.Com undergraduate, and an MBA in Marketing from India. My experience is as a Senior Manager in banking, overseeing personal loans for small and medium business enterprises for almost 4 yesr now in a reputed financial institution in India.
My recommendations will come from the dean of my MBA school and the VP at work, and both will be very impressive recommendations.
I am planning on doing my MBA in finance, will that negatively affect my application since I did my MBA in India in Marketing.
I am applying to the following universities.
1. Rochester
2. Indiana - Kelley
3. Vanderbilt
4. University of Iowa - Tippie
What are my chances at these universities. Should I also consider any other schools?
Thanks a lot!
B.
The first thing you should do is clarify if your MBA will be viewed as an MBA or as a 4th year of post-secondary education) and if the former, you also need to confirm that the schools in question will consider an application from someone who already has an MBA.
Assuming that's all squared away, you have chosen your schools well. You may want to try to include a somewhat higher ranked school too. Perhaps NYU, Cornell, or Yale. Your marketing background will not hurt you because you have clearly been working in financial services.
Good luck!
