Please kindly evaluate my profile and suggest improvements for me to make it to Rotman

GMAT score: 670
Citizenship: Canadian
Age: 26
Degree:B.Science (biochemistry)
GPA: 3.30
Degree: Msc. (Biochemistry)
GPA: 3.8

W.E: 1 year at the municipal government as supervisor of operations support

part time work experience (i don't know if these counts)
- office assistance at a production company for 1.5 year
- Customer service rep at a bank for 1 year
- Statistic Canada for 1 year as surveyer
- Research assistant (full time 8 months) in an academic research lab
- 8 month experience as Teaching assistant

volunteer exp: Red Cross, anatomy lab assistance, social worker at a third world country (Kenya)

Hobbies: Photography (completing my certification), Cooking, Football (not the american one), running (i participate in races... 30K to 42k)

Career aspiration: To get into finance and get on a career as an investment banker... eventually want to work as a senior analyst for a big pharma company.

Hello Txpro, thanks for your question.

I think your biggest challenge is tying together your overall story. Paint a picture that cohesively ties together your past, present, and future. You have lots of different industries and functions in your past – how exactly does all of your varied experience lead to an investment banking career?

I would think the Rotman admissions committee would want a clear sense of your career arc and direction first and foremost! Hope this helps…
