IMO E.
We need perpetuating because languages still exist. I would prefer "originated" because origination happened earlier but there is no other coice with originated as well as perpetuating.

IMO "E"

E follows the correct sentence parallel structure

"originating: ... followed by a prepositional phrase.... "perpetuating".... followed by a prepositional phrase....
