Hi Jon!

I co-founded LivMore nutritions along with my brother in 2013 livmore.in while I was working for Maruti suzuki. During this time I was trying to lose weight but managing good food was really difficult because I was single and cooking isn't my thing. But I also didnt intend to spend too much on food so we thought what I need other people out there might need it too.

So I sat down with my brother and we discussed the plan of action, the beginning was really really tough because we were investing from our pockets for a long time, and even more difficult was to find chefs who can cook tasty food without the extravagant amount of fats and spices. We ourselves cooked, marketed, delivered for a while until finiding the right people.

When we began there was no one like us in Gurgaon or Delhi but we were unable to control the everyday losses and we almost gave up until one day we found an investor who believed in us and was willing to invest 10 million INR in phases for facility upgradation, marketing, brand building. Currently we have 6 outlets in Delhi/Gurgaon maily in gyms and a small dine in restaurant.

However our vision goes way beyond just a health food chain. The original idea was to make LivMore an umbrella brand with three sub-divisions namely food, fitness, social activities. We have a really detailed business plan and I am going to make LivMore a full-fledged lifestyle consultancy i.e. a one stop solution for managing everything from food, personal training, weight management, outdoor activities, gym reviews, and much more depending on the kind of changes the person wants to bring in his life and social status.

Our project will also have a huge social impact because as more and more indians are entering the upper middle and affluent class their lifestyles are becoming even more sedentary majorly because of poor life and work balance.

I can go on and on describing the ideas, but I hope this will give you some clue.

Hey Anshuman,
Thanks for the extra info! Well, a lot will depend as you are for sure aware on that GMAT score... so go kill it! :)

I can't really suggest you what schools might fit without your test scores, but I can write a bit about the strengths and weaknesses I can see in your profile.

Let's start with the good stuff:
- Your startup - this definitely differentiates you and makes you interesting. How strong this is will depend on how much of a convincing argument you can make that this is the real deal.
- Long and good work experience at a well-known firm which should held validify your professional skills
- NIT grad

The challenges:
- Indian/Male/Tech profile - not much you can do about this one other than making yourself different. But it CAN make things tougher!
- 6.5 GPA - It's a good school, but still 6.5 is not that hot. And that's why the GMAT is your best opportunity to PROVE that you are a whiz. Not to put the pressure on ;)

Like I wrote, it's still a wee bit early to tell exactly what schools this adds up to, but come back at me with TOEFL and GMAT and we'll advance this one step further.

Best,
JF

Anshuman,
I do my best :)

Good luck on that test, and drop a line when you get that score.
