Hi Aditya,
I don't have all the facts here, but based on what you have written my sense is that the scholarship question asks neither your goals nor Why Stanford, but rather what is your VISION for India's future, and where you see yourself in it. What do YOU hope to do in India to impact the country in a positive way, long-term? Be specific and personal, trying to find points that only you can say -- often this draws on your personal, professional and/or family experience. In such a short essay, assume they have access to your Stanford application essays, and try to add new information. But remember, this is a no-spin zone, so as much as possible, make sure this is a clear, well-researched and tangible vision that makes the most of your particular added value and your strengths as an applicant.
Hope this helps,
Margaret Strother
