my ultimate goal is to get a job in NYC, taking that into account - would Stern be a better option? Or still Booth?

I firmly believe it is usually easier to recruit the closer you are to your target city. So this leads me towards NYU. But Booth is a fantastic program so you probably can't go wrong either way. i would take a look at some of the program specific recruiting numbers and maybe talk to Booth students who are recruiting for roles in NYC. They can give you some perspective, I'm sure a good amount of Booth students will also recruit for Chicago as well so keep this in mind
