Hello im just seeking some comforting advice.....
I currently have:
OG 11 all books
MGMAT BooksPrinceton 2008 Crack The GMAT
Cliffs math for standardized tests (Math Refresher)
GMAT MATH BIBLE and Fundamental question set from GMATHACKS.com
CATS:
PowerPrep
GMATPREP
GMATCLUB Math challenges
I took the GMAT when my dean said I didn’t need a high score and that he would guarantee acceptance. I took the exam without any knowledge of what was o nit and panicked when walking into the exam room. Nearly fainted on my way home. I felt like being run over a truck. Overtime I have regained my no quitting attitude and have started studying seriously since April. Until I had my kidney stone surgery and was doped up on painkillers it wasn’t fun at all. I also have a GMAT math tutor I meet up 2 times a week for 3 hours each time.
STRATEGY:
My assignments are to read and do all the problems at the end of each
MGMAT math chapter and redo them and ask my tutor questions. Next step is to cover all OG11 and focus on all questions mainly last 3rd and 4th to understand the question types and question difficulty. Then attack the CATS.
My target is from 500-540 do you think with these materials i should be fine and would 2.5 - 3 months be sufficient? Is my target score hard to get you think? Im aiming for higher scores on my CATS around 600 "aim high score a bit lower" is the phrase i keep hearing. Even if I get lower than 500 what I need for my school is over a 400 because my relationship with the administration and VP of the school are good bonds that I have developed while in school. But my goal is 500. Im working hard to achieve it. I just need some guidance.
When should i begin taking practice exams? Should i go through the material mentioned above and then do the practice questions? What books that I have should I avoid using that I could throw away?
In regards to the Princeton, im reading the book only for the Verbal and AWA parts should i bother with the math part (its vague) Verbal part has good explanations/strategies. Should I get rid of this book?
Much thanks and hope to hear from you all soon…..
