Sorry for the late reply.
Your mentioned your score in your email. I think your score is good, but of course, i can offer advice.
I would only use the SC 885 after an exhaustive study of grammar. I dont see a problem with using Kaplan MATH. Category based problems are also great for practising with a clock. LSAT is a great resource to practise with quality RC and CR. (Dont solve the logic based CR's in the forums)
There is absolutely no single way to prep for the GMAT, but there are some key factors, which i believe (for what its worth) are very important for success on a test like GMAT.
This is an email i sent to one of our members who wanted some info about GMAX Online course .
There are three key factors that influence gmat score.
1. Conceptual Learning - the harder you work on your concepts , the better. I always encourage GMAT Club members to solve tough problems.
Its always better to solve 50 tough problems rather than 200 simpler problems. We should shift our focus away from the solving problems to focus on learning concepts. Sure, solving problems is great for practise, but it shouldnt be the only thing we should do.
2. Error Elimination - Work on your errors. Everytime you get a problem wrong, write it down in the
error log. explain the correct solution to yourself in your own words. Do it consistently throughout your prep. In your final week, your
error log will be the best resource for your GMAT preparation.
3. Concentration/ Ability to handle pressure
This third factor is indirectly related to the first two. the better your concepts and the harder you worked on your errors, the more comfortable you will be under pressure.
GMAX will certainly take care of the first factor - Conceptual Learning. You should also try to participate in GMAT Club discussions and solve the tough problems. I have always found that i understood a concept better after i had worked on several tough problems.
Hope this helps you in making a decision. Remember, no course or no number of solved problems can work wonders for anyone, unless we work on these above three factors together. Keep the above three factors in mind and you will definitely see great results. How much your score depends on how you prepare.
Good Luck
