Thanks in advance for your help.
GMAT: 710 (42Q, 46V, 6AWA)
GPA: 3.5 BS in Economics from BYU.
Work Experience: 29 Mo. post-graduation. In addition to this I worked full time for 24 mo. pregraduation. All my work experience is entrepreneurial in nature including pregraduation work as a part owner and early employee (started pre-product) of a successful technology company and cofounder of clean-energy company. Both companies are still doing well.
Other experience: 2yr LDS mission to Mexico (speak Spanish fluently). Lot's of other church related volunteer and leadership experience. Volunteer for NGO that does work with schools in Ghana.
I am looking for a school with a strong entrepreneurship presence and opportunities to work in the energy/technology or consulting industries after graduation.
I have thought about Stanford, Berkeley, BYU, Northwestern, ND, what are my chances here? What other schools should I be looking at?
Anyone's thoughts are welcome.
Thanks,
AB
For entrepreneurial goals, look at Chicago Booth and MIT Sloan. For energy, look at UT-Austin and Rice.
Your targeted schools are appropriate, especially Berkeley Haas and BYU. Kellogg is appropriate for your consulting aspirations. Stanford is a good choice, and you've got a shot, but it's extremely competitive.
