Hi jaw5xs,

You have a strong application. Are there any specific questions you have?

Regarding your candidacy, you may want to read this case study of a candidate with a sub 3.0 GPA: http://www.stacyblackman.com/comprehens ... ies/case5/

Here is some school specific advice for some of the programs you listed;

Harvard: http://www.stacyblackman.com/business-s ... ss-school/
Wharton: http://www.stacyblackman.com/business-s ... n-wharton/
Chicago Booth: http://www.stacyblackman.com/business-s ... ago-booth/

Cheers,

Thanks, that helped a lot.

I also have a question about one of my recommendations. In my last year college, I was selected to be a the sole loan officer for a loan fund of over $100,000. I had my own office in the Office of the Dean of Students and distributed short term, interest free loans to undergraduate and graduate students. I was thinking of getting a recommendation from the Dean of Students talking about this position in his office.

So my question is: Even though this position was held during my senior year of college, could I still use it as an MBA recommendation to show leadership qualities?

Hi jaw5xs,

Yes, you could still use this individual for a recommendation. What is most important is that the individual can address the types of questions they will have to answer. These questions are frequently linked to your leadership skills, your performance on teams, communication skills, ethics, and more.

Best,
