Good start and may be able to set you apart some if you mention more specifics in an essayThe following are the schools I am planning to target.
You are certainly going to get a look at all these places. Since you mention Healthcare as an area of interest- your work at ZS will be helpful- I would leverage healthcare consulting examples in your essays and build into the why for each school. I looked quickly for you on post MBA industries for most recent grad classes at these schools and the % of students working in Healthcare industry post MBA was Darden 4%, Kellogg 5%, Wharton 6%, Duke 8% and Kenan-Flagler 10%- now some of these schools may have this embedded in consulting as a subset but just from looking at healthcare industry reported %'s you could potentially infer that Kenan-Flagler is very active in healthcare space- and from my prior work there I can confirm they have a vibrant Healthcare club and concentration program. I'd say all these schools have access to major medical centers although Darden in Charlottesville is perhaps more isolated but certainly they have a great university hospital there but I'd say RTP (Duke, UNC), Philladelphia (Wharton) and Kellogg (Chicago) might be better for overall companies in healthcare space. Certainly your well presented healthcare story would make you attractive at K-F and possibly get you a shot at $. What we at Stratus Prep can do for you is to help make sure your examples in healthcare are the most compelling that they can be and also give you some help on how to approach each school as we have counselors on our staff who have great experience with all these programs. If you'd like to call us for a free consult, you can do so from the front page of our website! Best of luck to you! 1.Wharton
2. Duke
3. Darden
4. Kellogg
5. Kenan Flagler
I am planning to work in healthcare consulting after my MBA. How does my profile fits for these schools.
