College: Boston University
Major: Finance and International Business
Minor: Mathematics
GPA: 3.6
GMAT: 720 (1st attempt)
Extra curricular: I was on the crew team for my senior year.
Experience: 2 years analyst in a bulge bracket firm.
Studied abroad in the UK, along with other work related international experience in asia and US.
Joined the peace corps, working in Africa: teaching math and business advising in Mali, becoming fluent in french (can also speak 3 other languages).
I believe my 2 year commitment in the peace corps will really showcase my leadership abilities, since I had to direct teams in various companies during my time there to reform and rebuild business, along with being a math teacher at a local school. In addition, with my experience in africa, I think I'll be able to write a wicked essay.
I would like to apply to the top business schools (HBS, Stanford, Wharton, etc). Do you think these schools are a long shot for me? What would you consider as a safety school (NYU, HAAS)??
Thanks.
