Hello,
You have an interesting story. For European programs, your age is fine – slightly old but not outside the norm. For US programs, you’re close to the “older applicant” category -- but happily, for many programs, still within the normal range – especially given your background. (Adcoms review the applications holistically, so age is a factor in the context of your whole application, not just compared to other applicants.)
I feel that you’re a
competitive applicant to the programs you mention (both US and European0. HBS would obviously be a long shot – not because of age but because of its own daunting numbers. But it makes sense to apply. And of course many of those programs will always be a reach, for the same reason, but a reasonable reach in your case.
Among US programs, it seems like Kellogg, MIT, and NYU would also be good fits. I suggest taking a close look at the programs if you haven’t yet.
The key will be
creating a coherent and compelling application that showcases your unique experiences and perspectives in a way relevant to your goals. Good luck!
