Male: 28.5 yrs
Nationality: Indian
GMAT: 700 but will taking it again to improve the score

Education:
1. Chemical Engineer from one of the reputed institute in Asia (Undergraduate)
GPA : 2.6/4
2. MBA in Finance from one of the reputed institute in India (Postgraduate)
GPA: 2.8/4

Experience:
1. 17 months in one of the Fortune 500 companies as an Engineer
2. 44 months in Banks in India and Middle East on various Managerial positions

Extra curricular activities:
1. Fairly decent position held during school, undergraduate colleges and postgraduate institutes
2. Fairly active in community services
3. Member of various social organizations
4. Participated and won school, college (undergraduate and postgraduate) competitions
5. Actively participated in social activities such as plays

I am targeting top 15 US schools and LBS, Insead. Please help to evaluate my profile and suggest any improvements required. If required i can even email my full profile. Waiting for reply. Thanks in advance.

You're going to have a very tough time (read: your chances are slim) getting into any top school simply because you already have an MBA.

I wouldn't retake the GMAT - because it's not really about your GMAT beyond a 700.

All you can do at this point is to focus on doing the best job you can on the written applications and interviews (if you get one).

As for schools, even without an MBA, I'd say that schools in the bottom half of the top 16 are more in range (Duke/Darden/Michigan/etc) and schools in the top 8 are stretches to long shots.

To be honest, if you're looking to jumpstart or change your career path, you will have to look at other options (i.e. don't place all your hopes on getting a second MBA as the sole path for getting to your goals, whatever they may be).
