Hey can someone please provide their opinion of how good a chance I stand for Harvard, Wharton, Kellog, Booth or MIT Sloan?
GMAT- 730- Verbal 38, Quant-50
Undergrad from NIT Surat (GPA 7.8/10)- Also have a Joint double degree from MDI Gurgaon (GPA-6.49) and ESCP Europe (France, course Master in Management) (14.6 ECTS/20)- All very respected colleges and good GPA's
Work Experience in detail- (June'11 to Aug'13) My role is Corporate Investment Banking in a Prominent Investment Bank in New Delhi- Key deals include raising 4 Billion $ for a Petrochemical Complex, Debt Restructuring of India's largest domestic Glass company (saving 500 jobs) and Project appraisals of a 5 star hotel, a large gas pipeline and Acquisition Advisory for Assets worth upto 1.2 Billion $ in the Shale Gas Domain in America (for an Indian Company). My work is dealing with Banks, Clients, Consultants, creating financial model and info report. I have also worked on Business development and got business worth over 100,000 $ for the company
I also work part time at an NGO teaching english to orphan kids (Since August'11)
I have good extra curriculars and was actively involved in Organizational activities and in Music.
Short term- I want to shift to a PE player abroad. My work is quite similar to what goes on in a PE (including M&A, syndication and Debt restructuring). I want a global environment and an international career. I would prefer to shift towards the equity side from the Debt side and will prefer exposure to other more consumer oriented sectors instead of Oil& Gas & Infra.
Long term goals: Would like to shift to a VC firm or explore opportunities in subsidiaries (where the parent PE or VC has invested). I will prefer to become an enterpreneur if I ever do get the opportunity.
My preference of area to settle - region wise- USA or any part of the developed world.
Please let me know whether I stand a good chance.
