Here metabolisms of many species of dinosaurs is like those of warm blooded mammals and less like those of cold blooded reptiles

Some scientists contend that the metabolisms of many species of dinosaurs were more more like warm-blooded mammals' than cold-blooded reptiles

Here the comparison is not very clear. It can mean 2 things

Here metabolisms of many species of dinosaurs is like those of warm blooded mammals and less like those of cold blooded reptiles

or many species of dinosaurs were more like warm blooded animals species than like cold blooded reptiles species...

Here the items being compared are not clear.

Don't stress too much now on this...you are all set...your are analyzing too much and too close to the test...
