Based on my experience, all questions in real GMAT are exactly similar to what you see in GMAT Prep software. You may see similar questions but with little tweaks. The test scores what you get in GMAT Prep software are almost close to your real GMAT. if you would like to practice several times, make sure you unistall and reinstall the software so the software can pull new questions from its question bank. I heard the question bank itself has 12000 questions in it. Hope this helps.

I dont know if they are retired ...maybe they are maybe they arent ..but they definitely are more representative of the level of questions on the real tests ....but these days the tests are getting harder
