Hi

I have a Masters degree and around 7 years of work experience. When B-schools ask for a 1 page resume, is it ok to leave out employment with 1 firm where I spent only 6 months? I know that's the weakest point on my resume, but I graduated from my Masters in 2009 when there were hardly any relevant jobs around. I had a really bad experience at that firm as I didn't get any of the things that I was told in the interview. Finally I ended up resigning when a better offer came along. Since I didn't do much in that job, I feel there's no point in showing that and also it'd save me some space to highlight other details.

Any advice?

I wouldn't not include it as doing so would create a 6 month gap in resume that you would then need to explain (so it will come up anyways). Simply move it to a section titled Volunteer and Other experience. The descriptions in this section can be much briefer. Give it 1-2 short bullet points (maybe one for job description and another for one achievement - which I'm sure you had). You don't have to draw a whole lot of attention to it in order to include it.
