Alright everybody - we'll be starting scheduled chats with current students!! Chat Information: Wednesdays 9 ET/8 CT http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html Chats will last about 35-45 minutes We will post transcripts when we're done. Link to the chat is hereAttachment:

The first one will be about the application process, so this is a chance to get all your last minute app questions answered. Please PM me and aap anything that you want to make sure is covered. We'll send tentative subjects to students ahead of time so they can be prepared. I will add the chat to the calendar and also to the front page on Wednesday as a reminder. As always, let us know if you have any feedback! I'll keep this thread separate from the 2010 chat so it doesn't get cluttered.

I added a poll for possible topics we thought of. Please select the ones you'd like or PM me others. We likely won't have time for all of them, so if there are ones you like, please vote. Otherwise, you'll get stuck with my favorites...or maybe even questions about who has the best twist on on the cheeseburger in the school cafeteria.

this is certainly a good initiative, and will help all the aspirants. Just my two cents (probably you would already have this in your plans), please keep history of these chats accessible to all, may be in blogs or forums, so that its available to others who couldn't participate during the session.

Thanks. I think transcript is definitely an option - just need to figure out how it will work visually when we post it. Anyone has issues with logging the chat? If not, can one of the Chat Moderators please turn on scripting or should we just copy&paste?

As long as the final transcript is edited by omitting any specific personal info and etc, I think it will be okay. Some of us attend such a small program that few specific info said in the chat or the forum can be traced back easily.

Really well compiled transcript.
Didnt make it to the chat but this transcript was very helpful
BTW How do you spin questions like where else did you apply ? Is it wrong to mention the other schools you have applied to.
With no offence to any school ,
For e.g if one has applied to X , Harvard, Y and Z, and is being interviewed at School Z, and this question comes up should he not mention the other schools he is being interviewed at.
Perhaps if mentions he is being interviewed at Harvard, it would be difficult to beleive that School Z is still his first choice School , if he gets admitted to both.

This question did come up and the recommendation has been to be open about it and tell that you have applied to a number of schools, but you are really hoping to get into school Z and this school is your first choice.
