Dont agree with the OA again

let s have a discussion on this

thanks

At most 5 elements can be -ve.

Since the question does not mention "distict integers" assuming a number can be repeated.

How did you get the number as 5. Did you repeat the numbers?
If I dont repeat the number the answer is only 4
for max number of -ve integers, we use the least negative ones.
-1,-2,-3,-4
but if we also put -5
then for the sum of the set to be +ve, we need aminimum of 16 as the 6th number.
while the max number mentioned in the set is only 12.
That is my understanding.
I will go with four

4 max.

You have to start with smallest negative integers in the given range. Let us take -

-1, -2, -3 , -4

This gives us -10. If we choose postive numbers more than 5 and 6 we have the result positive.

We can not -5 to the above list as the negative numbers will add upto a minimum of -15 and no single positive number in the given range can be added for a positive result.

The question is flawed in case the answer given is 4. Distinct should be mentioned.
