That sounds reasonable.

It is certainly possible to be admitted with your score. However, since such a "low" score seems like a fluke considering your education and experience, the obvious answer it to take the test again and clear the issue. I am also concerned about the letters of recommendation and essys that you will be able to develop in such a short time.

However, if I understand your post, time is of the essence and you are basically faced with a choice between applying now and waiting until the next year (or next admissions season)

1) Apply now, face possible rejection from all schools.
A: If accepted, begin school
B: If rejected, retake GMAT and apply next fall

2) Wait to apply in next fall

Is this an accurate description of your choice?

Hi Hjort,
Thanks for your reply. You are spot on about my choices! Luckily my partner and my ex boss have agreed to write letters of recommendation for me, and I am also getting one letter from a professor in Ann arbor, who was consulting with the previous company I joined. So he will evaluate me from an academic as well as a professional stand point. I hope this should be good.

As long as you can develop the LORs and essays and you are willing to sacrifice the application fees, I see little risk in applying now. After all, if you are rejected, you can simply apply next year (which you would have to do anyway if you do not apply this season).

Thanks Hjort.
i guess I do have to bite the bullet and take the Chance, and I am more inclined to do so. Lets hope for the best. Thanks a ton for your prompt response.

Hi Hjort,
I just turned in an absolutely miserable performance in the GMAT ( 650 Q 44, V 35).

Just wanted to point out that 650 is not "miserable" :-D
However I understand your frustration if you were used to get much more in Quant.

Good luck with your application

Hi Antmavel,
Thanks for your wishes. I do hope things work out well and my quant score is not taken to be indicative of my problem solving skills.
