Re: Starting off with GMAT prep [#permalink]
yeah...the material is more more than enuff..but i got most of them as pdfs from a friend who took the exam recently..so as obvious having got used to work on system , iam feeling it easy to go through the pdfs. :-), Except for the OG 12 which i did purchase.

perfectly said..Iam yet to take a test, will take it asap ,so as to know where to head based on my weak areas..

lastly Iam on leave for a month and half, expecting to maintain the momentum..eat,drink and breathe gmat for the coming 5 weeks.. :-)

Hi svagmat,

great to hear from you about your preparations. I am also in the process of taking the Test. Had started researching about an year back, but have got hooked up to GMAT over the last couple of weeks.

I believe going through the GMAT Club's FAQs is a great way to start off. GMATprep gives you a great feel of the CAT (It's my first time to take a computer-based test) and you can identify your weak areas.

I think it will be great to be in touch and share our experiences.

In my case, I took the Verbal review yesterday and realized that CR is weakest, RC is okay and SC is my strength. I will be taking Math now, and will share the details with all.

Till then, enjoy the weekend!

Re: Starting off with GMAT prep [#permalink]
Thanks svagmat.

Well the Quant section was not too encouraging. I got 10/15 in both Math as well as Data Sufficiency. I realized there are a lot of silly mistakes that I make, just because I am too conscious about the time. Plan to take the diagnostic test tomorrow, so hopefully there are not too many surprises. I am expecting something around 650 at least.

I think it is good to review the questions in GMATprep and then move ahead. They have got good explanation.
If you have done your studies from India, I believe working on probability, permutation and combination should be good enough.

Anyways, happy studying and good luck.
