Hi Everybody,
I took GMAT on July 15th and scored a 550(Q41,V25). Since i had to get around 670 to apply for my target univ, I decided to retake. I enrolled for
eGMAT and I could find a drastic difference in my preparation than for previous attempt. Currently I am taking mocks and fine tuning my abilities.
My questions are with respect to application process.
I am planning to take GMAT in 15 days, but my R1 application deadline for most of the universities I planned are over by NOV 1st week
I already drafted my SOP and have sent to proofread. I can complete other documents in this 15 days.
My questions are
1) If by chance I could not take GMAT by October end and I choose to apply with my previous score, would I be able to change the Score after 2nd attempt (hopefully a better score got by Nov 1st week) ? any timelines for it ?
2) One of my target university is asking the transcripts validation by World Education Services - WES. Does any one here has used it to apply ? If so, could you share list of colleges using which we can apply3) If I am not able to apply for R1 applications and can only apply for R2, how far my chances would be reduced (even if i settle in the range of average GMAT score). Additionally I have 3 years of exp from an Indian IT company. Thanks in advance.
Karthik,
Let get to your questions first
1. You can try. But in your case it's not worth it to rush things. Get your GMAT first. Because right now your current GMAT isn't gonna get you in anywhere good. So don't waste your time with applications, just focus down deep on the GMAT
2. You always send the original transcripts.
3. The chances are relatively similar between R1 and R2.
Finally, let me say that R1 is already over. And 15 days is nowhere near long enough to prepare your applications. so once again, hold on to those horses, and don't rush things dude!
Get your great GMAT score FIRST and THEN think about where you will apply. And if you don't get that GMAT score, then it's better to wait till next year.
Best,
Jon
