A.has significantly reduced advertising income both for business journals as well as general consumer magazines, especially if focusing => unidiomatic ( both for X and Y )
B.has significantly reduced advertising income both for business journals and for general consumer magazines, especially those focusing
C.significantly reduced advertising income for both business journals and for general consumer magazines, especially when focused => "when" dicy / "for both" should be "both for"

E.reduced advertising income significantly for both business journals, as well as for general consumer magazines, especially those focusing => gives the impression that reduction was for 2 business journals and for a consumer mag - wrong

i figured when it says 'current' the verb tense shouldn't be the past tense. so C D and E are out. A is unidiomatic so I think B is the answer

A.has significantly reduced advertising income both for business journals as well as general consumer magazines, especially if focusing - Incorrect idiom
B.has significantly reduced advertising income both for business journals and for general consumer magazines, especially those focusing
C.significantly reduced advertising income for both business journals and for general consumer magazines, especially when focused - The context seems to be wrong. It seems to be saying there are two business journals and many general consumer magazines.
D. reduced both business journals’ and general consumer magazines’ advertising income significantly, especially if focused both X and Y - Correct idiom BUT apostrophe usage
E.reduced advertising income significantly for both business journals, as well as for general consumer magazines, especially those focusing - Incorrect idiom. Same mistake as A.
This is how I thought
A, E - Same idiom error.
Left with B, C , D
C - Wrong context
Left with B & D
B is better than D due to apostrophe usage
Hence "B" is the answer.

I thought I saw something like this in the OG or maybe in this forum. Please correct me if i'm wrong but when it says 'current,'
the situation is on-going in the present.
Since C,D,and E start with the verb 'reduced' the choices didn't make much sense so I counted them out.
[both x and y] is the idiom so B is the answer

B maintains the perfect tense uses the correct idiom "Both...and".
