"should" was the dead giveaway in (A). Could have just stopped there, but as U2 Lover instructs us, ALWAYS read all the answer choices to avoid careless errors.

But doesent (D) sound the odd one out.Provided they were able to measure the sizes of the nose.

Have else could Socrates have based his comparison on his definition of "ugly?"

Exactly so (D) is not an assumption.It can be inferred.

I think A is an assumption, eventhough I don't like the " should".

For me E is not an assumption since Socrates can draw is conclusion even if nose and eyes are NOT the most important factors.
