Please can someone explain the 3rd question?

KarishmaB Sajjad1994 GMATNinja
Its simple when you read what Anooj1705 above has mentioned, you just have to see the last column of the table, which shows the CURRENT data(currently means data of the present day). So the last day has A, B, C, D and F which represent Initial and Intermediate cluster. The Final cluster letters G and H are missing.

So the Answer is Yes Yes and No.

Initial Cluster - Stages A and B
Intermediate cluster - Stages C, D E, F
Final Cluster - Stages G, H

Today is the 5th day of week 7. So we only have to look at week 7. Look at the report generated.

Last 4 projects are all in A or B so they are in Initial Cluster.
Initial Cluster - Select YES

Rest all 6 projects today are in C or D or F. They all belong to Intermediate cluster.
Intermediate cluster - Select YES

No other project is active today.
Final Cluster - Select NO

KarishmaB The project 74154 can also be considered an active one. Why can't its current status be 'H' ?

If that were the case then previous days including today would have an H against it. But there isn't. This shows that the project is already complete.

KarishmaB MartyMurray egmat pls explain Q2 and Q1 too.

Pls tell the significance of % asssigned to clusters to indicate a % of project lifetime spent in one cluster. For ex a delay would occur even if the stage was supposed to be there for 2 days but got completed in >2 days but how do we find these cases. We coincidentally got this answer correct by seeing which stage exceeeded 3 days instead but the delay need not be due to exceeding 3 days

In quest 2 how can 74584 be delayed?
Read the 1st passage "none requires more than 3 days of work. A project is said to be delayed if it spends more time at a stage than is required to complete the work."

Official Answer: Q1

The report on the Status History Reports tab lists seven projects that had reached Stage H before they were successfully completed. None of these projects spent more than one day in Stage H. This information supports the statement that Stage H typically lasts 1 day.
The diagram on the Stages and Clusters tab provides evidence against both the statement that the first stage of each project is handled by an individual from the administration department and the statement that final stage of each project is handled by an individual from the development department. It shows that Stage A, the first stage, is the responsibility of one or more individuals in the development department, and that Stage H, the final stage, is the responsibility of one or more individuals in the administration department.
The report on the Status History Reports tab provides evidence against the statement that Stage F typically lasts 4–6 days. Each of the projects shown to have reached Stage F was in the stage for either 1 or 2 days. Furthermore, the Projects tab states that no stage requires more than 3 days of work.
The report on the Status History Reports tab provides evidence against the statement that Stage X typically comes immediately after Stage C. For each of the three projects that had reached Stage X, Stage X appears immediately following Stage E.
The correct answer is, Stage H typically lasts 1 day.

Official Answer: Q2

The passage on the Projects tab states that no stage requires more than 3 days of work and that a project is said to be delayed if it spends more time at a stage than is required to complete the work. The information provided in the stimuli does not indicate the required amount of time to complete any specific stage, but it can be inferred that any project that spent more than 3 days in any one stage must have experienced a delay at that stage. The report on the Status History Reports tab indicates that Project 74154 spent 4 days at each of Stages C and D. Therefore, Project 74154 must have experienced a delay at one or more stages.
The correct answer is Delayed.
B.
As discussed above, a project that spent more than 3 days at any one stage must have experienced a delay at that stage. The report on the Status History Report tab indicates that Project 74854 spent 5 days at Stage A and 6 days at Stage C. Therefore, Project 74854 must have experienced a delay at one or more stages.
The correct answer is Delayed.
C.
As discussed above, the information provided in the tabs does not indicate the required amount of time to complete any specific stage other than that no stage requires more than 3 days of work. Given this and the fact that the report on the Status History Reports tab indicates that the first stage (Stage A) of Project 75745 began on the day on the report was generated, it cannot be inferred whether Project 75745 spent more time at that stage than was required to complete the work.
The correct answer is Not necessarily delayed.

Official Answer: Q3

A.
The diagram on the Stages and Clusters tab shows that Stage A and Stage B together constitute the Initial cluster of stages. According to the report on the Status History Reports tab, which its title indicates was generated today, exactly four projects (75351, 75353, 75489, and 75745) are currently in either Stage A or Stage B. Therefore, at least two active projects are currently in a stage within the initial cluster.
The correct answer is Yes.
B.
The diagram on the Stages and Clusters tab shows that Stage C, Stage D, Stage E, and Stage F together constitute the Intermediate cluster of stages. According to the report on the Status History Reports tab, which its title indicates was generated today, exactly six projects (74545, 74803, 74854, 74870, 75038, and 75039) are currently in Stage C, Stage D, or Stage F. Therefore, at least two active projects are currently in a stage within the intermediate cluster.
The correct answer is Yes.
C.
The diagram on the Stages and Clusters tab shows that Stage G and Stage H together constitute the Final cluster of stages. According to the report on the Status History Reports tab, which its title indicates was generated today, no projects are currently at either Stage G or Stage H. Therefore, there are not at least two active projects currently in a stage within the final cluster.
The correct answer is No.

In this project, A took 5 days and C took 6 days.
In tab 1, it was mentioned that " Some stages require as little as 1 day of work, and none requires more than 3 days of work. A project is said to be delayed if it spends more time at a stage than is required to complete the work." Thus, it is delayed.
