HEC Aspirant here - 30M, Indian, Data Scientist. Confused between Sep vs Jan Intake.
Haven't taken the GMAT though, prepping right now.

It’s great that you’re thinking ahead — that really helps with HEC. Since you’re still preparing for the GMAT, the choice between September and January depends on how your score turns out. If you get a strong score in time, then the September intake is a great option. But if you feel your score needs more work or you want time to build your profile and essays properly, then January is the better call. Both intakes offer the same program, so it’s really about giving yourself the best chance.

Hypothetically : ) a 645–675 GMAT Focus could be viable if other parts of the application are outstanding, but it might be risky as well in a competitive round or for overrepresented groups. Depends on many other factors...
In the past, we’ve had the privilege of working with applicants who secured INSEAD admission with scores as low as 630, 640, thanks to strong, well-crafted profiles. So yes, great outcomes are possible when you put in the right effort and present a compelling story. With the right strategy, magic does happen.

Nice score AKKAMI- ! Your GMAT score should be less than 5 years old, prior to your application. Beyond that, you’ll need to retake the test.

HEC MBA Jan intake provides the optionality to complete in 12 or 16 months, however, this decision can be made after you join the program i.e. not at the application stage.
