I'm taking the GMAT again in two weeks. I took it the first time and, please be nice, got a 350. This was due to the fact I got the flu the day before I took it. I have the time to study, but everytime I start working on it, I realize how much I don't know. I'm trying to get somewhere around 500-500. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on motivation and how to best prepare with a two week frame. My main weaknesses are quant, and all of verbal. My essays were quite strong last time. I have the Official guide i'm working on, already did the kaplan review, and i have the Kaplan GMAT 800 to work on also. Thanks.

Two weeks is a short time, but doable.

Get Princeton Review, you'll learn some tricks to answer some questions that you don't know the answer to.

Also, MASTER OG, this is crucial. It'll take around a week and with hard study, you can finish it. Make sure you check your answers after each wrong one and learn the solution.

Do a lot of practice CATs. GMATPrep is very useful, make sure you solve each of the two tests couple of times.

If you're working as well, I suggest you take your vacation time now. If you can.

Also, get Manhattan SC, you'll learn a lot from this book.

Kaplan 800 is more for high scorers; it's hard. I would return that book if it's still in new condition and swap it for one of the books the other poster mentioned.

thank you all so much for your help. I just finished taking a pratice test with the Kaplan CD, I hope it is more difficult than the real thing as my score was rather low. I was wondering if it's better to take time to try to learn new concepts and techniques or better to just work problems and try to learn from them. I am currently in college classes but have mon/wed/fri and weekends to try to study 3-5 hours a day.
