Linda,
I've been placed on the waitlist at ucla and have read through many sources regarding the steps to take after being put on a WL, including your ebook. I understand UCLA is a DCU school hence thus far i have only returned their request for a response regarding my WL status. I have also asked a personal friend, an Anderson alum/VP at Goldman/teammate in my soccer team for 3 years (which I am the captain and manager of), to send in a letter of support on my behalf.
Is there anything more that I should be doing on my part for a DCU school? Should I call to request an interview or wait until they assign it to me (I am an international student)? Anderson is my top choice and I want to ensure that I give myself every chance of making the admitted list. I have no qualms about visiting the campus and reaffirming my "interest" but I'm just not sure whether this is appropriate/recommended...
Please help! Thank you!
Benhur,
Accepted.com has received some recent indications that UCLA may be slightly loosening their DCN attitude. I would not suddenly become aggressive and frequent in updating them, but if you do have some substantial new development to report to them, I would do so, as briefly as possible. Also, if you can wrangle additional brief "unsolicited" letters of support consider doing so, though space them out so as not to peeve UCLA off.
Good luck,
