I remember an adcom mentioning specifically that updates be 1 page preferably, but definitely not more than 2 pages. I would prefer to write a short essay rather than bullet points, as it would be more interesting to read.
It depends on what you wrote in your original essays....if you think you didn't show enough love for the program, you can highlight more on it (with specifics) in the addnl essays. If you already explained enough how you can uniquely contribute to the program, stressing it again might not have any benefit.
I am in the same WL boat...so good luck to both of us !

Hey all,
Not a lot of traffic on the 2007-08 waitlist sticky thread, so I'd like to ask these questions on the open forum. Regarding my first waitlist letter:
1) Should I spend more time talking about why school X is my top choice? Or more time convincing them why they'll benefit from taking me?
2) I think I'm coming from an underrepresented industry that thrives on an interesting business model. Am I stretching a little too far to use my experience in this industry and insight regarding the b-model as one of the ways that I'll bring uniqueness to the program?
3) They've emphasized that we keep waitlist letters short. Is it better to just list out bulleted points, or write it as a formal essay? I can see bullets being very effective, but I keep reading about people writing 2-4 page essays to update the committees. ???
Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
