Want to move to finance industry [#permalink]

Hi all,

I am 25 years old Australian, did my bachelors in Information Technology and have 4 years of work experience as a Business Analyst in IT industry.

I want to move to US and work in fianance industry. My question are:

1. Will i be able to work in Finance industry if i did MBA in USA, would it be sufficent?
2. Do you think that it would be wiser for me to do undergraduate programme in finance rather than doing MBA?

It would be wiser to do CFA or CFP.
These professional financial/investment qualifications which make you highly employable in the financial sector.

akilbob I'm in a similar situation (aussie in IT wanting make the finance switch). I believe that the MBA is a good and common way to go about it. CFA is useful, for portfolio management type stuff. But, the MBA opens doors. If you were to stay in Australia, AGSM has a pretty good program.
