Hi belle1223,
Most of the issues you've described do happen, but the fact that they all happened to you on one day could probably best be described as 'unlucky' (moreso than anything else).
1) As a general rule, most Test Centers have just one Moderator. That Moderator has to help every Test Taker who enters or exits the Computer Lab among whatever other duties they also have, so delays in helping individuals can sometimes occur). It sounds like this particular Moderator wasn't paying much attention when you wanted to take your break, which is unfortunate.
2) The technology in most Test Centers doesn't go through rigorous maintenance - it tends to be functional, but sometimes has issues. The staff on hand is typically NOT super tech-savvy though, so they're not trained to 'fix' those problems. In that same way, every pen will eventually cease to function. By extension, you are far from the only Test Taker to experience that issue (think about all of the pens that have died during an Exam over the years). It's unfortunate, but it's a 100% certainty that it will continue to happen. If it does, you have to alert the Moderator and ask for a new pen.
3) Yelling staff is almost certainly not the norm. From a functional standpoint though, nobody is supposed to be at a Test Center unless they're there to take a Test.
How did you score on the GMAT?
From your post, it sounds like you were already planning to take the GMAT again, so what is your ultimate goal score?
