Undergrad: Government
Undergrad GPA: 3.48
GRE: Q156 V159

I wanna go for the Master of accounting program, and so far I'm enrolled in 1 undergrad accounting course just to get an idea of what I'm getting myself into, so far I like it. Anyway I'm planning to take the GMAT in late November so that I can apply to other schools as well. But I just wanna know what are my chances at UNC with these scores? If I need to rise them I expect to get a higher grade on my GMAT.

EDIT: After speaking with admissions they told me they want students in the 70th percentile for the GRE and that they do use the GRE to GMAT converter on the ETS website. So when you convert this score its a 640 on the GMAT and a little above the 70th percentile (74 or so).

Hey,

Your chances look good (median admit GPA is 3.43, GMAT is 640, and I think I saw their GRE old scale is 1310). Have you started the application? I also majored in Govt/PoliSci, and I took the GRE (1440 on the old scale --> 720 GMAT conversion). They invited me to interview within 24 hours of submitting (still waiting on my third recommendation). For the interview, I've been told it's better to go in person (dress business formal, they have a PPT). The interview was pretty standard and the director of admissions was really nice. They'll have you lunch with a current student and sit in on a class if you're so inclined (do it!). Best of luck!!
