This is a simple question which I hope can help out a few beginners in order to determine how much study material one should procure. Im at least very curious to see whether there is a correlation
So the questions are:
2. Your improvement in terms of first gmat prep and real as well as your latest gmat prep respectively real.
3. Native english speaker - yes/no
4. Study material used before first exam and between the following tests (if you have taken more than 1).
Maybe some comments how much you used each material and how they contributed to your GMAT results
5. Time frame

1. GMAT1 530 - Q42 V20
2. GMAT2 680 - Q48 V35
3. No
4. For the first attempt I never knew anything other OG and GMATPrep software. For the next attempt used the following materials
Quant: MGMAT strategy guides
Verbal: MGMAT SC, read Powerscore CR once - never used it again. For RC and CR - Thursdays with Ron.
For practice: OG10, OG11, OG12, old paper based tests.

It took me close to 6 months and the preparation was intermittent, I sat for 2 months then I didn't touch the book for another 2/3 months and back with the books again. I would say 3 months with 15 to 20 hours each week would be suffice for a 50 to 100 point score improvement.
