Re: What should I do before starting my Masters Program? [#permalink]
I agree, it would be counter-productive for these summer sessions to be ridiculously stressful and difficult. I attended summer school in my undergrad where I took two courses with ten weeks of material condensed to five weeks. I was in class for 6-8 hours a day and this did not make the work any more difficult, I simply had to stay awake in class. The other students and I still had lots of time to go out and enjoy the summer! In any case, I'm not saying they're the same thing but the greater time commitment doesn't necessarily mean greater difficulty.

No right answer for what to do here. You can't go wrong no matter what you do and it's a very personal decision. I would say a majority of people keep working at their job to help save money and keep a strong network before schools. Others travel, realizing they won't have nearly as much free time during school. Finally, some try something new. A new internship in a different field or some kind social experience that helps their resume.
