With an attractive title like that, it's surprising you're even reading this. I started preparing for the GMAT with the CR section and went through at least three different strategy guides before putting together my own document with the best strategies in them.

The document I've attached here basically contains a comprehensive list of question types, identification techniques, approach techniques and correct/incorrect answer choice justifications. I've also included two examples for each of the types I've mentioned.

I am also a big color junkie. If it doesn't look good, I don't like reading it, so I made it as colorful and lively as I could. And I thought I should share it with you guys, should it help anyone at all.

Quote:
Disclaimer: I have just shared my understanding of various strategies and I have used examples from several other sources, all of which are listed in the document itself. This is merely meant to help people out with understanding the concepts. It's NOT a substitute to the guide book. So don't sue me! :D

Quote:
Recommendation: Go buy the Powerscore CR and Veritas CR Guides. Both of them are excellent sources of problems and strategies. The Powerscore CR Bible clearly explains what I've summarized here and Veritas has some examples that illustrate the strategies very efficiently!

Haha, pretty positive. I know him :) (Kind of, but well enough to know that he's a guy). It was implied sarcasm - something GMAT doesn't quite teach.

As for the SC guide, maybe a week or two actually. Still in CR. And my hit rate for CR dropped to like a 91% from 98%. Harder problems. I always narrow it down to final two and choose the wrong one. :(

Hahaha... HE (now that i am certain its a 'he') caught me there !
"Bad DAWGIE " :-D

I am sure your hit rate at harder problems in CR will improve over time.
I always get stuck with Powerscore CR guide. The book seems to be never ending. And it doesn’t have sufficient Practise problems.

I am guessing you are referring to Veritas for practice other than GMATClub and OG ?!?

It is REALLY REALLY REALLY insightful and I appreciate your nice job. By this way, you don't need any MGMAT, Manhattan Review, Knewton and all other expensive courses at all. Do you have anything for SC and RC while I have difficulty with them and need a comprehensive guide like it, very understandable for ma as a non-native speaker. Thankssssssssssssssssss.

Yeah, I am guessing so too. But I plan to review my concepts again and keep doing 10 problems or so a day. Yes, for now I am using Veritas and MGMAT. But I also have access to Beat the GMAT's question sets, though I've not taken a look at that yet. We'll see :)

Thank you! I am working on my SC document now and hopefully if it's good enough, I'll put it up on the forum. However, it's not going to happen for at least one or two weeks since I am really busy right now :)
